Great question. I'd pay off debts, set some aside for emergencies, and invest a bunch of it. I'd donate to charitable causes and make big things happen in the world. Big things to improve people's lives - first spiritually and then physically. And I'd leave it all to my posterity to see how they'd handle it!

A lifetime supply of chocolate, too, if there was any money left :).

Just where would you invest it? Do you have any good inside information you would like to share?

I'd probably start asking some of our Know More Media colleagues for investing advice :). Actually, I'd probably spread that billion dollars around a lot, investing it in things like index funds, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. I'm sure Larry Stay or Hal Halladay, among others here at KMM, would know a lot more about where to put all that money than I would!

And, silly as it may sound, I'd probably keep a briefcase full of cash under my mattress. Just to smell it once in a while.

First I would short Google. That would make us all a bunch of easy money. Of course we should give Tim a pile of cash for Unitus. I would immediately offer a raise to all associate editors and to any bloggers that have some great jokes to tell.

I doubt I would ever take the time to put my dollars end to end to go around the world but maybe I could pay someone to do that for me.

Oh yeah and I would probably buy Dan a new car and maybe a WNBA team. Then I would ask Larry Stay what to do with whatever cash was left.
