France's health minister, Philippe Douste-Blazy, heard that in 1992 the Germans had used 170 million condoms, the Brits had used 160 million but the Frenc were a distant third at only 100 million.
"We can catch up, but we must go faster."
That reminds me of a time when some Martians came to earth to study how humans do everything.
They watched the humans eat, work, sleep, relax and so on. The last thing they needed to know was how humans reproduce.
They finally found two volunteers to perform the act and another to give commentary.
The Martian watched the two humans go at it. At a seemingly climactic moment the Martian asked the commentator "How long does it take for humans to reproduce?
The commentator replied, "It takes about 9 months."
To which the Martian asked, "then why are they in such a hurry?"
