- Chaos, panic, & disorder - my work here is done..
- I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronouce.
- I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.
- I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.
- Ahh...I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again.

Boy, if someone is totally disgruntled and hating their job. I laugh at this only because it fascinates me that people can be so miserable.
Even when I was guilt ridden and mentally, physically and spiritually bankrupt at the peak of my drug addiction years, I still loved my job. Now that I am almost three years in recovery, I love my job three times as much (at least).
I've seen "Office Space" and I just don't get it. Work to me is play. School is what is work.
I have so much fun. I basically get paid 16 bucks a hour to bag groceries, handle money and tell jokes. I have a cult following. It's the perfect job for me. My winning personality makes everyone happy. This past weekend I got paid 16 bucks a hour to recommend "Snakes on a Plane" to my customers while checking them out on the express lane.
Here's a poem about how much I love my job:
"Working at Trader Joe's,
I gotta say it seldom blows.
How much I love my job no one really knows.
I'm only a part-time crew member,
But everyday is an experience to remember,
and I love it when we have wine tasting in December.
If you have 15 items or less,
I'll help you out on express.
When it comes to the reg I don't mean to brag,
but everyone knows I'm the best!!"
It is my personal goal at my store, to check out 500 customers in a single shift. I only work 7 hours. That's something like one customer every 45 seconds. So far, my record is 468 customers in one day.
But, Christmas is coming soon so I know we'll be busy.
